Dental Implants for Crowns or Bridges

Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and also provide a fixed solution if you have a single missing tooth or a couple of missing teeth and want to complete your smile.

After the implants are placed, they are allowed to heal and integrate with your jaw bone for around 3 months. If you are replacing a single or a couple teeth, we will begin the process of restoring them with Implant supported crowns or a bridge.

Most of the time, we can restore your implants in a single visit with the use of our in office. CAD-CAM system (CEREC®).

First, we will remove the healing cap and contour the tissue around the implant with our C02 laser.  Next we place an abutment that screws onto the top of the implant. This can be either a prefabricated or a custom abutment depending on the location of the implant and the specific circumstances of your case. The abutment is tightened into place and will serve as the support for your new crown or bridge.

Next, we will use the optical scanner on the CEREC computer to image the teeth and go through the design process for your new restoration. In most cases we can mill the new restoration in our office and complete your restoration during a single visit.

At SmileArts Dental we can place your implant and take it to completion all in the same office with the same trusted Doctors.

If you have questions about dental implants or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact our office.
